Plustek SmartOffice PS252

This ultracompact and low-priced scanner turns out good-looking images at a fast pace.

Very high image quality, Compact design

Limited OCR capabilities

Worst of all, to start a predefined one-button scan, you have to choose from the numbers 1 through 9—whether you're looking at the LED on the printer or at the pop-up window in the scan application—a limitation that makes the one-touch feature useless...

Low cost. Small size. Relatively fast for scanning and recognizing text

Doesn't handle business cards well. No indexing program. Inaccurate setup instructions

The Plustek SmartOffice PS252 lowers the price for duplex document scanning, but it feels more like a beta test version than a fully finished product.

scan duplex. small and compact to sit on my office desk

Not networkable. my colleague have to use my PC to scan their documents

Not very good

Does not feed less documents well. Scanning a stack of 15 sheets took three try's. Scanning single sheets in duples mode B&W 200 dpi slow.

Small Size . Duplex Scanning

Misfeeds paper - If you have any other scanners they must be disabled before PS252 will work

Plustek Smart Office PS252 scanner

I bought Plustek PS252 with the intention of scanning single sided financial statements at 300dpi B&W.

Paperport10's direct scanner interface couldn't adjust brightness when using the Plustek twain drivers, but could do so using Plustek's WIA driver.
