still works

 

I bought two. They were cheap and they still work after over a year

It doesn't drain effectively fills with water after extended use, so it needs to be shut off periodically

great AC!

 

ahhh finally a great A/C that can cool my 12' X 12' technology packed HOT, HOT room, so fast!! there are many computers and large monitors/TVs etc. it gets toasty...feels great finally having an A/C that cools this oven!!

after many hours of researching air conditioners I decided to give this Soleus 8000 btu a try and so far (3 weeks constant daily running) I am extremely pleased!...the unit is actually smaller than my old 5000 btu a/c unit, and this soleus A/C cools...

no cons as of yet, at all

a not cool a/c unit

 

This unit at 8,000 BTU is far larger than the space I need, it was an upgrade from the baby General Electric 5,000 BTU. The 5,000 made the room freezing for 5 years and I replaced it in the 6th with this Soleus. The Soleus worked fine in the first...

Inexpensive. Cooled adequately in the first season. Remote control still works in the second season

Was Impressed

 

I ordered this unit on Monday and had it on Wednesday. Great shipping! The parcel was received in pristine condition (was very lucky). Seen worse boxes at the store. The unit installed in about 45 minutes. No problems. Works great so far. Writing this...

Good unit at a good price

 

This is my first window unit. I am using it to help cool an upstairs room that my main A/C unit doesn't keep cool. So far, I like it. Seems to be constructed well, and looks to be good quality. Time will tell.

Unit was easy to install and blows a lot of cold air. It turns itself on and off when on the energy saver mode. The remote can also be used where you are sitting to let the unit know the temperature at your spot, as long as it is line of sight

The unit was packaged very well, lucky... I watched the UPS girl kind of push the box out the door. Looked ok, but when powered up had a rattle coming from the compressor that would have driven me nuts. So.... Like lots of other things delivered I took...

Worked well for three months

 

Even if I had the box to return the unit the replacement probably would do the same thing in a few month. Buyer beware. My next A/C will have a drip hole or I will drill one myself. An A/C should last more than 15 nights of use.

Turned on softly, was reasonably quiet, the person in the warranty dept. was pleasant
