Sol Republic Tracks Air headphones

Wireless headphones that can be used easily while on the go or lounging around the house

Cordless ; Customisable due to removable band ; Soft speaker pads

Struggle a bit at loud volume ; Overall emphasis on mid-range

The aim of the Tracks Air headphones is to offer a better overall listening experience through wireless connectivity, and to allow users the freedom to customise their look via different coloured headbands. As for sound quality, they are decent, but...

SOL Republic Tracks Air review

If you love their modular, wireless design and dig a soft, bass-heavy sound, the Air may be an option for you. Otherwise, we recommend looking elsewhere.

Sol Republic’s Tracks Air lacked the kind of finesse we look for in a $200 pair of headphones. But for the casual listener, they offer plenty of clarity up top, a full midrange, and that warm, punchy lower register that made the original Tracks such a...

Sol Republic Tracks Air Wireless Headphones review

Back in 2011, Sol Republic launched its Tracks headphones , which sold remarkably well thanks to a great marketing campaign and the fact that the headphones had an eye-catching design and delivered good sound for the relatively affordable price of $99.99.

The Sol Republic Tracks Air Wireless are stereo Bluetooth headphones that sports a durable design with an interchangeable headband, detachable cordage (for wired listening), and an integrated microphone. They deliver plenty of bass with a decent amount...

May not fit everyone equally well; sound isn't incredibly refined.

At $200, the Sol Republic Tracks Air aren't cheap, but they're better priced than some of the premium Bluetooth headphone competition -- and sound relatively good, too, with a strong feature set.

SOL Republic Tracks Air

The SOL Republic Tracks Air are Bluetooth headphones that will appeal to lovers of powerful deep bass and drive away those seeking a balanced sound.

Powerful audio performance with no distortion on deep bass at high volumes. NFC and Bluetooth enabled. Comfortable design. Detachable cable with inline microphone and remote for mobile devices. Solid battery life.

Boosted bass is a bit over-the-top, and the highs are pretty sculpted, too, often resulting in an unbalanced mix.

So, if you love seriously boosted sub-bass, you will like the Tracks Air. If you'd rather have a slightly more balanced approach to bass response in a Bluetooth pair, both the Harman Kardon BT and the in-ear JayBird BlueBuds X offer solid low frequency...

SOL Republic Tracks Air Review

Established back in 2010, global consumer electronics company SOL Republic might seem like a new player in the portable audio space, but don't think for a moment that they lack experience – that's because a couple of the company founders had ties to...

Modular design sprinkles a level of personalization ; It’s a hip looking pair of headphones ; Tight fit makes it great for physical activity ; Strong emphasis with the low audio range

Prolonged usage makes it uncomfortable to wear ; Sound engine speakers can’t be placed too low on the headband ; Requires separate left & right speaker cables for wired connection

Priced at $199.99, the SOL Republic Tracks Air is right there in the thick of battle – where it’s competing against an assortment of similarly priced, stylish models. Undeniably unique looking for a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones, its modular...

SOL Republic Tracks Air

The SOL Republic Tracks Air are Bluetooth headphones that will appeal to lovers of powerful deep bass and drive away those seeking a balanced sound.

On tracks with tremendous sub-bass content, like the Knife’s “Silent Shout,” the Tracks Air does not distort, even at top volumes on both the headphones and the sound source (in this case an iPhone 5s). As we have learned to more or less expect from...
