Dualit Hand

The plastic casing on my FIRST Dulalit Hand Mixer melted and started "smoking " on it's very first run >> it was quickly replaced with a SECOND one which had a faulty switch and never ever worked straight out of the box.................. SSooooo...

Had a similar experience. I realised that it was the fan that sits on the end of the motor that had been the cause of the explosion. Have been in touch with Dualit, but since i'm out of the 12 month warranty period they don't want to know about it....

I have had one of these for 7 years & I use it at least once a week & find it fantastic!! The 400w motor is nice & powerful & works well with dough hooks provided. Also one of the few hand mixers that comes with a whisk! Mine finally died yesterday...

I have had this hand mixer for a few years without a problem - except last night it BLEW UP!!!!! Yes SPARKS and all -needless to say it also tripped a fuse!! Brought it back to where I purchased it (Peters of Kensington) they didn't want to know about...

n and it's ok. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the the first speed setting is slow, but the second is a fair bit quicker and sometimes I'd like a speed between the two.
