The HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 Flatbed Scanner has a good software suite, and can scan either from its flatbed or 50-sheet ADF.

Low price. Flatbed and 50-sheet ADF. Good optical-character-recognition (OCR) performance. Full software suite.

Slow in scanning to searchable PDF format, especially at default settings.

Conclusion The HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 Flatbed Scanner is a good fit for very small offices in need of a light-duty scanner that can handle a variety of material, from books to business cards to multipage documents, and includes a robust software suite....

no where near the quality of my last scanner

 

good document scanner however it is no where neat the 10 year old machine that I can not get software for my new computer.

Would like a simple way to print scan

 

The Scanjet G3010 which this scanner replaced had a simple one button to push and have the scan sent directly to my printer. A simple copy machine! The 2500 f1 requires me to save the scan and then go to the saved scan file and print the item.

Product performs extremely well and is fast.

 

Product performs as expected, which is extremely well, and is very fast. A future enhancement for this device would be a network port (ethernet). That way multiple home computers would be able to access it.

Excellent and fast

 

The document feeder did an excellent job of feeding and scanning to pdf some very old legal (11 by 14) documents. The PDF's printed out well on 11 by 14 paper. Scanning some old black & white photos were excellent and fast,

Fazit: - "scannt Textdokumente schnell und in guter Qualität" - "für Grafik und Fotos taugt er nur bedingt" - "mit 350€ ist er recht günstig" Scanner kann doppelseitig scannen und benutzt CIS Technik (hat also keine Schärfentiefe auf der Auflagefläche....
