The Coolscan V comes with a wealth of software and probably more than you''ll need. I can usually fix any picture with "ICE" dust and dirt removal, and the brightness sliders, chroma enhancement, and a little judicious use of the RGB sliders. The ICE...

It plugs in quickly, software installs quickly, and the menus are pretty intutive. The results are excellent. With any kind of problem exposure, you will need to do software manipulation to achieve good results. The unit is compact, and works just fine...

The device is a little noisy in the gears during preview, thought the main scan is quiet. Scans are a touch on the slow side, especially if you apply "dirt removal", aka "ICE. Perhaps 2-3 minutes. None of these things are show stoppers.

Buying this product from PC Nation was a very good decision. My order arrived well before the eta. I would use PC NAtion again for the price and service.

Excellent scan quality with easy to use software.

An excellent and inexpensive solution for digitizing valuable photographic slides. Might be helpful if it were possible to brighten up dim slides - maybe the trick to that will come with more experience using the Nikon slide scanner.

Easy and fast to use, easy to install and does an excellent job digitizing 35mm slides, and PCNation''s service was fast and excellent.
