Straight forward to use. Multi format disks. Pass though RGB even when in standby.

jpeg viewing is poor quality.(Downscaled to 576 before upscale to HDMI)

1,Its rather bulky,2, maybe a little slow in response to instructions. the rear connections leave little room at the back of a tv cabinet.

Brilliant picture quality wether from DVD or Freeview, good menu system, DVD-RAM is a godsend - especially when the phone rings. Simply start recording, and when you've finished on the phone, press the play button and carry on where you left off whilst...

Just one or two niggles really; you can't schedule a programme to WATCH later, only to record it. And I can't make it copy from the SD card slot to a DVD - it tells me to to format the disc and when I have done that and then try to copy, it says it...

Ease of use

Still trying to find out how to record from cable. Even "experts" cannot follow the insruction book.

I found the DVD recorder very easy to use compared to my earlier Phillips model.
