HP LaserJet P3005x

A functional behemoth.

Embedded Web server, fast print times, fantastic print quality, increased paper input capacity, automatic duplexing is standard

Expensive, no way to secure optional cassette tray

The LaserJet P3005x offers a huge amount of features, so it can deal with a wide range of situations where delivering good quality mono printing is important. Although the P4015n out-specs the P3005x in quality and performance at the same price, the...

HP LaserJet P3005x

If you want a no-nonsense mono laser for the larger office, the P3005x proves that HP can still do the business.

HP LaserJet P3005x

Design The HP LaserJet P3005 is boxy, but its bland gray-and-putty color scheme will blend into any standard office environment. It stands 16.7 inches wide, 16.1 inches deep, and 12.2 inches tall, and weighs nearly 36 pounds. (The P3005x model is...

Fast prints; good print quality; very low per-page cost; lots of support options.

Expensive.

The HP LaserJet P3005 is a great mono laser printer for small- and medium-sized offices, but it's expensive. We think Lexmark's E350 series offers a better value.

HP LaserJet P3005 review: HP LaserJet P3005

The HP LaserJet P3005 is a mono laser printer that's all business: it's a quick printer that offers great print quality. With five configurations from which to choose (ranging from $550 to $1,000), you can find the right one for your home office or...

HEWLETT PACKARD LASERJET P3005X 35PPM 1200DPI LGL USB ENET 80MB DUPL 3RD TRAY

Ordered to replace a printer that was around 13-15 years old. Too early to say it works perfectly or will last a long time. We paid extra for the additional paper tray; Would be nice if workgroup printers had this standard, but hard to fault HP for...

Relatively slim profile compared to the printer it replaced. Installed two weeks ago for 8 employees to share ; So far no complaints

Careful! The Paper drawer(s) too easily pull right out of the machine when you go to refill paper. Not as physically sturdy as the 5Si it replaced (but then no printer is these days). Drawers stick out the back a few inches beyond the printer

Printer is L337

Good value for a small business but a little pricey for home use.

The print rate is pretty good, and the quality never degrades over long print jobs, even as the fuser gets red hot. The time to first page is great

Menu is confusing and poorly setup. The fuser randomly streaked pages for about 10 minutes one day and hasn't done it since. Rollers on tray 3 randomly squeaks and jams

Slow

It does support all the major protocols for printing. Of course we only used the raw 9100.

Very quiet! Starts the print job fast

We use this to print payroll and it prints SO SLOW! I even put an addition 256M of ram in it. Our old printer that was built in the 90's was faster

Great Printer

I wish the documentation shipping with the printer was a bit more detailed. The printer was accidentally bricked once (PEBCAK) and needed a factory reset (which isn't documented in the manual). Other than that, it's a great printer.

This replaced an old parallel-port laser printer that was shared to the network. Three words describe the experience. NIGHT AND DAY. First prints are an order of magnitude faster (since it doesn't need to go through a host machine). Duplexing is fast...

Price isn't for cheapskates. If you want cheap, go buy a crummy inkjet and suffer

pc driver good, mac driver bad

get it if you don't have a mac!!

the windows side works great! options do what they should etc, and speedy

mac drivers suck, they cant even choose trays, it just defaults to TRAY 3

Easy to set up - we use it as a shared network printer and did all network and tray settings thru the top panel before even connecting to the network.

For two-sided printing, the HP driver wants you to chose between flipping up (usually best for landscape printing) or sideways (good for portrait mode).
