It Works

 

I bought this because my seagate drives were constantly making a high pitch whining noise, it completely silenced the drive. The silencer fits into the drive bay which is close to the main fan keeping it very cool at a constant 29 degrees.

HDD became silent ; Made with quality material ; HDD temperatures went down by 5 degrees Celsius

Instructions a bit confusing ; The height of the drive needs to be 1 inch (thinner Seagate drives will fit but you have to position the drive towards the bottom, do not push it all the way in or the case will cover the connectors)

Silenced Raptor somewhat

 

Other than having to take the time to tap new holes to mount, I think it was worth $30.00

Silenced my loud grinding 10000rpm raptor

Does NOT work with Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower. You will have to tap and thread new holes to mount. Since the screws that come with it are too big for the holes on the 5.25' rack

Attractive, solid design

Easy to tear the thermal tape when you fit the drive into the case. But, the real problem is, my Maxtor 250GB SATA drives run 10 degrees (C) hotter when encased in a Logisys HD-Silencer unit

Works Great

 

This has the same total height and width as CD/DVD drives so keeping a space free above it will help with venting warm air off the enclosure's top.

Workmanship is of high quality and there were no missing parts. All of the screws that came with mine fit the appropriate holes, so it seems Logysis fixed that issue. At the back of the enclosure there is an opening large enough for the hard drive...

Great product

 

Have the WD Raptor 150GB, made a racket in my case, slapped this on and can't hear the drive anymore. also keeps the drive cool, never go above 41c, before it use to touch 50c, drive steady at 37c

For the price I am not 100% sure it is worth it for cooling.It does look cool when assembled,and keep the drive silent.

keeps the drive at a stable 37C.I cannot hear the drive at all, makes it silent.when mounted it is suspended between the drive above and below it
