This is a very well made lens with lovely bokeh and a high level of sharpness. Flare, CA and distortion are all but abolished. Images look clean and crisp and sharpen well in Photoshop. The lens is easy to use, the OIS system enables hand held shooting...

Brilliant lense. Wonderful quality photos are the result . Tate this a worthwhile buy even at its price

Not The lightest

Image quality is very good for the price, even with the 1.4 teleconverter. A bit of a lump compared with Micro 4/3rds super telephotos but the image quality of the lens and XT2 sensor more than justifies this.

AF slows noticeably when using 1.4 TC

Typical high quality Fuji build. Everything works smoothly. Auto focus is fast and accurate ( used on an XT2). Image quality compares with the best high quality telephoto zooms.

Though not a cheap plastic build it is indeed mainly plastic. Unique for Fuji high end lenses. I guess that does give a weight advantage though and it can be argued that modern advanced plastics are at least as good as metal alloys. I'm just a bit old...
