Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4,5-5,6G är en bra och prisvärd telezoom med inbyggd bildstabilisering och som i första hand är avsedd för Nikons kameror med fullformatsensorer (FX), men passar givetvis även på kameror med APS-C sensorer (DX motsvarande...

+ Överlag bra skärpa till stor del av bilden på full öppning, och speciellt inom det kortare brännviddsområdet ; + Ytterligare bättre skärpa över hela bilden nedbländad ca 1 steg ; + Låg distorsion över hela zoomomfånget ; + Relativt lite vinjettering...

- Kromatisk aberration förekommer mer eller mindre på samtliga brännnvidder (dock ingen katastrof och lätt att åtgärda i efterhand) ; - Lite softare resultat på brännvidder runt 200-300mm ; - Kantskärpan hade kunnat vara bättre på längre brännvidder
