I used the coffee pot everyday. This one only lasted 13 months. Others I have had lasted many years. I keep a very clean coffee maker inside and out.

Ironically, my daughter just purchased this new TFX23 12 Cup Mr. Coffee Maker (specifically because we were coming to visit), and we had just purchased a very similar model about a month ago.  It is uncanny how much alike these two different models...

Note: Bottom of unit says, "Sunbeam Products", Model TFX20 (although the front of the unit says "Mr. Coffee"). Works great, very inexpensive. Hot plate started peeling after 2 years but I called the company and they sent me an entire new coffee maker ...

I'll admit it: There are some things I buy cheaply, such as this coffee pot. I bought it on sale for $30 after reading the features on the side of the box. Mr. Coffee makes this coffee pot sound quite nice! Believe me, it isn't.
