Samsung Widescreen

Designed for mobile TV and exclusively operating on Telstra's Next G network in Australia, the Samsung Widescreen features a unique dual-flip form fac...

Landscape viewing for video, up to 7.2Mbps HSDPA network speeds, Foxtel Mobile TV with 33 channels and EPG, Foxtel iQ recording feature

Cramped controls and small QWERTY keypad, battery life, bland design

Optimised for mobile TV, the Samsung Widescreen is a solid, if not outstanding, introduction to what the future holds for mobile video content.

Samsung Widescreen

The wow-factor of mobile TV aside; the Samsung Widescreen is an underachiever that sacrifices basic phone functions for all the glamour Telstra's Next G network has to offer.

HSDPA. Foxtel and BigPond Mobile TV. Dual-flip design.

Tiny QWERTY keypad. Phone has cheap plastic feel. Low quality internal speakers.

Cheap build quality and the tiny keypad spoil this fast and ingeniously designed handset from Samsung.

First Review: Samsung Widescreen Phone - Smarthouse

The Samsung Widescreen promises a better mobile TV experience with its 2.3-inch widescreen and lightning fast download speeds when connected to Telstra's Next G network. We take a look at this dual flip phone to find out whether it will change the way...

Widescreen mode; QWERTY keypad; Loud speakers; HSDPA connection resulting to fast Internet downloads and video streaming

The QWERTY keypad and the number pad may be small for some; Expect battery life to be short when watching mobile TV

tHe wow factor is great..everyone loves my phone...and i find the keys easy to use, but then i have skinny pictures

attractive, functional, reasonable camera

for the price, i would have expected to get better wear out of it. i've only had it a coule months, and it is already shutting down unexpectedly and stuff ; is nearly impossible to text vertically, and very difficul to text with one hand horizontally

This mobile is unbelivable, its packed full of features, i have owned many mobiles such as Motorola E398, LG TU-500 and Motorola v8Maxx, however this phone is the best by far!

Great internal speakers ( i dont know why the editor said they were poor, i reckon he needs to re review it!) ; Love the dual flip ; Great design ; Ease of use ; Keyboard is actually easy to use after a few days of use ; Good camera for 2mega pixel ;...

TV buffers, but this is not problem with the phone, but the Next G Network ; so NOTHING!, its perfect

I am able to access cnet without any problem and the so called bad internal speakers delivered a loud and clear conversation across the phone.

I find this phone easy to use. I did not find any problem with the internal speakers. The keypads size are abit small but once you got the hang of it- typing message is very easy ; I enjoy using the dual screen phone because messaging is much easier...

After reading the comments- I reckon this phone should be released on the Prepaid sector and not a whooping $700 Telstra is currently retailing.
