NEC MultiSync 1940CX

 

Features are few and far between on NEC's no-frills MultiSync 1940CX, but it's still a perfectly fine panel for general-purpose use.

Dual inputs. Stylish design. Good color quality. Three-year warranty.

Weak grayscale performance. DVI cable costs extra. Limited stand adjustability.

Downloadable proprietary NEC NaViSet software (free) makes adjustments easier because supplied test patterns allow better finer tuning then OSD controls. While 8ms response time seems good and I see no ghosting, for gaming I would still suggest CRT...

Perfectly even backlight, crisp, zero dead pixels, thin bezel and slim profile, dual video inputs (analog and digital)

none; I wish pixel pitch would be smaller, but 0.294mm is standard on all 19" LCD's in this price range

This is miles better than my 17" CRT. I would never go back to a 17" CRT or a 17" LCD.

Great size, very clear, bright and sharp. No dead pixels. Playing games or reading text never looked so good. Thin frame is a plus. Looks very nice on my desk. I would highly recommend

I was a bit skeptical at first because I am a gamer and need fast response times. I've run a few benchmarks and played a few games on it and all i have to say is wow! The detail is amazing and so far I have not encountered any ghosting/swimming at all....

BIG, super bright, crystal clear, very sexy style. It didn't have a single dead pixel, definately a worthwhile investment
