Fujitsu Lifebook E8420

A dash of old mixed with new, and plenty of speed!

Has legacy ports in addition to modern connectivity options, performed well in our office application and 3-D rendering tests

Slightly sluggish in the MP3 encoding test, LCD status panel does not illuminate, no 'sleep and charge' USB ports, no nightlight

For the business user with demanding performance and connectivity requirements, this Fujitsu is ideal. It has plenty of modern and legacy ports and it was quite fast in our application tests. It could use some more niceties, such as an illuminated...

Review: Fujitsu Lifebook A6120

There's something refreshingly unpretentious about Fujitsu's line of Lifebook laptops. True, these lappies are not beauty contest winners. But what they will do is quietly...

Small trackpad makes for a less than thrilling multitouch experience. Runs consistently hot — don’t rest it on your lap for long or risk a scorched crotch. While certainly not ugly, design is blander than a plate of lima beans

Lifebook A6120

The Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 is a good performer, carries a reasonable price tag, and comes with most of the features you'd expect from a well-rounded machine--except good battery life.

Hard plastic construction Plenty of ports

Shortcut buttons too close to each other Keyboard feels a little too flexible

The A6120 doesn't win the laurel crown in any particular category, but it gets enough right at the right price to rate as a good (not great) notebook

Fujitsu LifeBook A6120

The Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 is a bland-looking mainstream laptop that scores on some nice features and parts.

Uses the latest Intel Penryn processors. 3GB of RAM. Plenty of USB ports. Big hard drive. Bright screen.

Clunky-looking. Middle-of-the-road battery scores.

Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 review: Fujitsu LifeBook A6120

Fujitsu LifeBook A6120

Gorgeous screen offers sharp picture with little glare; solidly constructed to withstand abuse; great performance among the mainstream laptop class; slightly lighter than last year's model.

Still a bit on the thick side; boring design.

While not exactly a looker, the Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 is a well-appointed 15-inch mainstream laptop that should offer a long life for general home use.

Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 Review

The Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 is a 15.4" widescreen multimedia notebook that was recently released in North America. The A6120 offers an Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn processor and some nice features, but doesn't break the bank in terms of price. If you're...

Excellent selection of ports ; Reasonable battery life ; Spill-resistant keyboard and nice touchpad ; Solid performance and features

Poor placement of speakers ; A little too much keyboard flex ; Thick and heavy compared to competition

Overall, the Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 is a solid notebook with good performance and some nice features. The abundance of USB ports and the combionation of a PC Card slot and ExpressCard slot mean this notebook has plenty of room for external expansion....

Fujitsu LifeBook E8420

Fujitsu's foray into Centrino 2 is solid, but the competition is offering more features at a slightly lower price.

Fingerprint reader, Strong performance, Centrino 2, Solid battery life, Included mouse and carry case

Uninteresting design, No eSATA or charge while off via USB, Lots of pre-installed software, Expensive compared to competition
