Lenovo Thinkpad X60 (Model: 170693M)

Taking the concept of an ultraportable notebook to new heights, Lenovo's X60 is lightweight (1.6kg without PSU), performs well and combines exceptiona...

Extremely portable

Fairly hefty pricing especially with the added cost of an external optical drive

If your business or studies require full functionality from your notebook while away from power and network connections then you can't go wrong with the X60. While it's expensive, it's still competitively priced in its class.

Review: Lenovo Thinkpad X60 Tablet

Even though Lenovo's latest feels like it packs a lot of yesterday's tech, it's still a capable machine, at least for business users. The ThinkPad...

Included X6 Ultrabase adds slim optical drive, four USB ports, and stereo speakers. Available support for all four Wi-Fi standards (a/b/g/n) plus exceptional signal strength with internal EV-DO makes for a wireless powerhouse. LCD is even reasonably...

Expensive. 4:3 aspect ratio display feels cheesy. Fingertip doesn’t track well on touchscreen and requires substantial and scary pressure. Overloaded with extra buttons, switches, and indicator lights. Would you choose the underside of a notebook,...

Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet (Windows Vista) review

When we first looked at the Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet in November 2006 , we were impressed by its usability features, including an indoor/outdoor touch-screen display, an improved stylus, and the Active Rotate feature. Since the release of Windows...

Lightweight, portable design; good performance and battery life; comfortable stylus and keyboard; screen automatically rotates when you adjust tablet position; touch screen is usable in direct sunlight.

Expensive; somewhat dim display; lacks S-Video port; price does not include an optical drive.

The lightweight Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet now runs Windows Vista--and remains one of the best convertible tablets on the market.

Lenovo ThinkPad X60 review

A well-constructed business ultraportable

Strong and light ; Fingerprint reader ; Good battery life ; WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity

No internal optical drive ; Lack of modern features ; 4:3 ratio ; Low brightness

For solid business use, this is one of the best, but the lack of modern features may be too limited for some

It seemed inevitable that the Lenovo ThinkPad X60 line would include the elusive tablet capabilities, but for many tablet buffs it's been a long wait. I've seen the entire ThinkPad line move through two generations of Intel processorsexcept for the...

Intel Core Duo components. Three screen options. New digitizer pen. Daylong battery life

You'll need the dock for the optical drive. Runs a little warm

The ultimate tablet experience is back with a faster processor, new screen options and built-in EV-DO.
