Razer Blade 15 review: say hello to HDR gaming on a laptop

The 240Hz OLED panel on the new Razer Blade 15 introduces solid HDR gaming to laptops.

Incredible screen for HDR gaming OLED 240Hz looks excellent Great port selection Decent 1080p webcam Clicky keyboard to type on

Surface temperatures are hot Touchpad has palm rejection issues Battery life is poor

“The Razer Blade 15 now comes with the best gaming laptop screen I've ever tested.”

Razer Blade review (2014): a 'no-compromise' premium gaming laptop

The newest Razer Blade is the company's best laptop yet, but it trades epic battery life for an exceptional display.

Fast and powerful ; Great 3,200 x 1,800 display ; Slim, compact and attractive

Expensive ; Screen resolution can undercut performance ; Shorter battery life than the 2013 model

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan describes the 2014 Razer Blade as a "no-compromise" gaming laptop, and that's almost accurate. Between the machine's screaming graphics performance, its thin chassis and that new QHD+ touchscreen, I was hard-pressed to find a...

Razer Blade 14 review: a champion amongst compact gaming laptops

The Razer Blade 14 is pricey, but offers enough gaming goodness to justify its outlay

Excellent performance ; Stylish, compact design ; Several configurations

It costs a lot ; Gets pretty hot ; Standard sound

When it comes to compact gaming laptops that can handle the best games around and still be used on a coffee shop table, the field is a pretty narrow one – and the Razer Blade 14 might just be the best of the current crop, if you can handle its...

Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition Review

Sleek aluminum build. ; Stunning 4K OLED screen. ; Long battery life. ; Huge touchpad. ; Good cooling.

Fast, but doesn't top the performance charts. ; No ISV certifications or eight-core CPU option. ; Keyboard lacks tactile feel. ; Standard warranty just one year.

Razer's stylish white Blade 15 Studio Edition turns the Blade 15 Advanced gaming laptop into a mobile workstation competitor with a 4K OLED screen, Quadro RTX graphics, and Nvidia Studio driver support. Sleek and all aluminum, it's as elegant as...

Razer Blade 2014 review

Is the most beautiful gaming laptop worth your bottom dollar?

Gorgeous design ; Brilliant, bright screen ; Quiet while gaming ; 802.11ac Wi-Fi

Poor value ; Unnecessary features ; Runs extremely hot ; Paltry storage options

Razer has done it again, crafting the most gorgeous gaming laptop we've ever seen, but impractical hardware features make it difficult to justify the premium.

Razer Blade (2014)

The newest Razer Blade ultraportable gaming laptop has a lot to love, but we had very high hopes and came away a bit disappointed.

Slim, ultraportable design. New Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M graphics card. Upgraded graphics. Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) display with 3,200-by-1,800 resolution and touch capability.

Runs very hot. High-resolution display may actually hamper performance. Shorter battery life than previous model reduces portability.

Conclusion The Razer Blade (2014) is disappointing, mostly because we had such high hopes. Razer still manages to outfit the laptop with some amazing capabilities, but it feels like the company reached too far, too soon, stepping up the resolution at...

Review: Razer Blade (2014)

The latest version of Razer's perennial hit -- a sleek, super-powered gaming laptop -- has been updated with a better screen, and it's still the...

Still the best way to get gaming to go. Responsive touchscreen and touchpad. Impressive speaker quality. Upped resolution now supports 3200 x 1800 pixels

Dimmer screen is a letdown, as is the price hike. What, no page up/page down keys? One key’s backlight died during testing

Razer Blade (2014) review: laptop gaming never looked so good

I feel spoiled. Ever since I started playing games on the new Razer Blade gaming laptop, I've had a tough time enjoying them practically anywhere else. My TV and my desktop PC only display games at...

Great design ; Sharp, high-resolution display ; Good touchpad performance

Poor battery life ; No SD card slot ; Some games don't work at full resolution

Razer Blade 14 (2014) review

Ah, to be thin and beautiful. In the world of laptops, that feels like the mission across the board, except when it comes to gaming laptops. But what if there were a Retina MacBook Pro of gaming? What if it had a super high-res touch display and...

The new Razer Blade boasts the same beautifully thin design, but adds a sharp 3,200x1,800 touch display and advanced Nvidia graphics.

The battery life is worse than last year's model's. Adding more SSD storage can turn this into a pricey laptop.

Razer’s newest gaming laptop trades ultralong battery life for a fantastic screen and even better graphics. It’s a trade worth making: this is the best Razer gaming laptop, and the best thin gaming PC anywhere.
