Excellent keyboard and light but robust

Battery life declined quickly. Complete hardware failure after four years

A lovely machine that meets my needs well, The SSD (my first) is very fast and the back-lit keyboard great for after dark working.

Too few USB sockets!

Contained a defective graphics card, which failed after 4 years, outside the warranty. I used to think of Sony Vaio as a premium quality product, but after purchasing two models which have developed faults, I will not buy another.

The battery life kept reducing until the charge now lasts for only around 30 minutes. Some of the keys do not work anymore. The motherboard has an issue and needs to be replaced and is very expensive. We cannot use the laptop anymore.

We had the laptop only 5 days before the darn thing went wrong, it wouldn’t start at all - only the power light would come on followed by the fans blowing at full pelt 30 seconds later. Called Sony support and had the laptop collected. 5 days later...
