Will not recognize external Keyboard. Tried both PS/2 and USB. Mouse works fine, keyboard doesn't

Works great for the M4

 

Another reviewer stated that you must use notebook mode when the M4 is docked. That isn't true; you can swivel and snap down the screen while docked and use the M4 in tablet mode.

Works as expected. Hot undock button works perfectly for my M4

The PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports don't function if the notebook itself doesn't have them. This wasn't explained in the specs and caused a call to Toshiba support

TOSHIBA PA3314U-1PRP Advanced Port Replicator III

 

All in all I amvery satisfied with the product. I am sure it will last as long as the laptop and will even help to extend the life of said laptop by protecting the external connections. If you have a laptop that fits this, you need this.

Very nice port replicator, has 4 USB ports and jacks for modem and ethernet. Specs are correct. I am using this with the Tecra S2 and it charges the battery well. The laptop docks and undocks well

The volume control on the front of the laptop does not control the volume of speakers that you have plugged into the port replicator. The speaker and mic ports on the replicator are not color coded so you have to have good light to see to plug them in
