LCD went out

 

Decent laptop, decent price

The LCD screen went out 5 months in to purchasing it. Sony came out to fix it and it went right back out again. They then wanted me to go 2 weeks without my work computer and refused to send someone else out to fix it, each time trying to get me to buy...

Nice laptop for this price

 

Nice laptop for this price ; Core i7 processor. Video rendering does not take long ; 1080p screen ; Runs Crysis 2 and Battlefiels 3 ; backlit keyboard ; Looks very nice ; It is very fast. Will do for you whatever you want it to

Only 8GB memory max. (But I knew that). I wish I could install 16GB ; No second bay for another HDD ; Only 500GB HDD

Great for the money!

 

Considering the sale price I got it at, $1000 (I believe it'll be around $1300 after the holidays,) this thing is a steal. If Newegg used a ten egg scale I would rate it a 9/10 but I feel 4/5 is just too low. Another sweet thing is, if you register...

A great all around build for the money ($1000 on sale.) ; x4 i7 ; As a gaming PC the Geforce 540 runs SC2 on ultra in 1080 which is pretty much expected. As for BF3, the benchmark of these days, it'll runs around 40 FPS on medium settings at 1440x900....

My biggest problem is the lack of RAM, from my research the max supported is 8 gigs. So I ordered this Vaio with two 4 gig sticks from G-Skill, not a huge issue to swap out RAM for most gamers/geeks but I wish it could support more than 8 gbs of RAM ;...

Awesome Buy Verry Happy

 

I was afraid to open the box after reading the other reviews but after updating the drivers on the video card the game runs fast as heck on highest settings. 5 Stars thank you Circut City for the best Christmass ever!!

Haha just because they bundle Battlefield 3 with this laptop doesn't mean it'll be able to run it well at all. The GT 540M on this VAIO means low-medium settings on medium resolutions at best.

The screen bezel looked like it's been out of place when opened. While the specs are nice and all but the fact that it look so ugly that I steer clear.
