Gateway Gateway One GZ7220

The One has arrived. No, I'm not talking about Keanu Reeves and the Matrix, but Gateway's new One GZ7220, whose display and PC components are integrated into a single, slim unit. Think of an iMac in glossy black with a slightly smaller, 19-inch,...

Integrated design ; Nice styling

Limited Expansion ; So-so performance

The impressive design on this PC rivals that of the iMac.

Gateway One (GZ7220)

The stylish all-in-one Gateway One is not quite the iMac killer, but it is a decent all-in-one PC.

Compact all-in-form factor. Attractive styling. Quiet. Clutter-free. Two tool-less drive bays. Upgradeable. User serviceable. Integrated IR receiver. Wireless networking. Wireless keyboard and mouse.

Screen is lower resolution and smaller size than competition (less than full 1080p resolution for HD viewing). Bloatware. External TV tuner. No pointing device on keyboard. Proprietary cable to power brick. Internal graphics have only one upgrade path....

while it doesn't feel as if it would tip over more easily than the imac or the sony vaio lt series, the one's smaller foot looks like it would be less stable on a wobbly surface. it's mainly a design perception, however, since i was able to tilt the...

Gateway One review: Gateway One

Gateway One

Sleek design; best-in-class upgradability and cable management.

Small screen and slow performance for the price; no Bluetooth capability; easily lost detachable Webcam.

The Gateway One desktop computer introduces a few cool design improvements to the all-in-one desktop concept, but it loses major points in performance and overall value. We'd recommend the faster, more affordable iMac instead, unless you have a serious...

Gateway One review

If Apple's iMac is the best all-around, all-in-one PC (if not one of the best all-around desktops), and Sony's VAIO LT19U succeeds in a very specific, high-end niche, where does that leave the new Gateway One? It's certainly attractive, but our fully...

Gateway One

The Gateway One ($1,799.99 direct) evokes the design of the circa-1997 Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh (TAM), the all-in-one PC considered to be the granddaddy of today's iMac. The One looks more like the TAM than today's iMac, thanks to the fact that...

The Gateway One revives high-concept design in the land of the cow-printed boxes. Its design comes across as one of the closest to the Apple iMac, and unfortunately shares some of that model's shortcomings as well as its strengths.

Gateway One Review – Sleek all-in-one desktop

Think all-in-one computers and think hefty, lumpen PCs that try to pretend to be swish LCD displays but instead end up looking desperate – or, more likely, think Apple's luscious iMac and its effortless evolution of style. Gateway have attempted the...

Review: Gateway One

Ever get the feeling that technology is out to get you? No, not all things digital, that would be crazy. What I'm talking about is the Gateway all-in-one computer, accordingly named One – and it's out to get me. I'm not sure if it's all One systems, or...

Gateway One GZ7220 value PC

Think of an iMac in glossy black with a slightly smaller, 19-inch, 1440-by-900 screen, and you're on the right track.

Like the iMac, the One is priced between a value PC, which it significantly outperforms, and a power PC, which it certainly doesn't. But you're paying for style, and the One has a lot of it.
