Great looks - poor design

 

This is an impressive looking fridge with some problems. First Problem - The ice maker stops working on it's own. Its only when you need ice that you realize it is empty. After 2 service calls we were told this is 'normal' and we need to cycle the ice...

Ice-maker is dead after several short-lived revivals. $3000 for a piece of crap ice maker. I had issues with the warranty, they fixed it, and now it is busted again and I am out of warranty range. The part cost $500 . I am also using ice trays. Tonight...

Steer clear...lots of money and lots of aggrevation.

 

After 10 months, I am still without a working ice maker in this refrigerator. I've even had one factory authorized repair company refuse to service the unit.

Pros: The unit looks great and I do like the freezer on bottom concept

Cons: non-functioning ice maker out of the box. Poor customer service

Ice Maker

 

We installed an EI28BS56ISO (28 cu ft french door, standard depth) on 10/29/09. Nothing but trouble with ice maker since. Electrolux and dealer have been responsive, sent new parts, service people return 10 days later, but still no ice. 7/12/10

Like the bottom freezer

Ice maker nonfunctioning. Insufficient space dressings. Condiments pushed out of reach
