I wanted a little more boost so I could show videos to maybe 10 people from my laptop, I think this will be loud enough. The fan was not needed

My 14" ASUS laptop hangs over the edge a little, but that is ok because I want to take this in my laptop backpack, so a little small is probably better ; Only one speaker worked at first, I had to twist the speaker cord to get it to work both speakers

The aluminum base is exactly what I was looking for. Fan speed control is a perfect addition, and it's very quiet even at max. Even includes a slight breeze for right handed mouse users! Did I forget to mention, IT HAS SPEAKERS
