We have had four Tom Toms in the past few years and loved them all, until this year. We tried three and each one failed in a couple of weeks. Just went black. We now ordered a Garmin.

I am having a difficult time with the free map upgrade. I connected it to my computer and it keeps starting over to the backup portion. Looked up several stores and they are not on there.

I owned an old TomTom that I disliked, but thought perhaps they had fixed the bugs because the reviews on this one were so great. Oh, how I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!

GPS works fine. But mounting hardware is not so good, GPS keeps falling. I bought a separate mounting hardware for 10 bucks, now everything is ok.

I think it will really come in handy. I have not had the chance to use it on any trip so far. A few comments for the setup. (1) They should have said it needs to be charged up before use...(I think it is stated somewhere , but should be in bold print...

Pros: Split screen with lane breakdown is nice, Has Puerto Rico downloaded from factory, traffic feature works well, cant beat the price Cons: Some lag time between satellite and screen, not any more than I have noticed with other brands or with a 4G...
