Motorola Citrus (Verizon Wireless)

The Motorola Citrus is a decent voice phone but a terrible Android performer, a real disappointment in the hotly competitive, end-of-2010 smartphone market.

Clear voice quality. Good battery life.

Screen resolution is too low for Android UI, and also limits Android Market app compatibility. Backtrack is useless. Stubborn on-screen QWERTY keypad. Lots of bugs.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions The standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack makes finding good-sounding earbuds easy. My 32GB SanDisk card worked fine in the microSD slot underneath the battery cover. But pulling the cover off was an exercise in...

Motorola Citrus (Verizon Wireless) review

The Motorola Citrus for Verizon Wireless is part of a quintet of U.S. Android smartphones that Motorola released at CTIA Fall 2010. Positioned as an entry-level device with an eco-friendly bent, the Citrus lacks the physical keyboards of the Flipout...

The Motorola Citrus has a simple design and a functional feature set that includes a file manager. Call quality is quite good.

The Motorola Citrus forces you to use Bing for search and maps. The Web browser experience isn't great, and typing can be tedious on the small display.

The Motorola Citrus is small and devoid of high-end features, but it works as a beginner Android phone.

Motorola CITRUS Review

How things have changed in just a year. Roll back to late 2009 and Android was making its debut on Verizon. The Motorola DROID and HTC DROID Eris took Big Red by storm, with top of the line spec sheets and tons of hype. Android was shiny, new and...

Motorola Citrus Reviewed

Released on November 11th, 2010, the Motorola Citrus is an entry level Android powered smartphone. Running on Android 2.1 with some lower specs, is this model worth the cheap price being offered?

Overall the Motorola Citrus is actually quite a disappointment. Though it does have a low price point of $49.99 on contract, it's still a very underwhelming Android handset. The sluggish interface, horrid resolution and fairly useless 3 megapixel...

Review: Motorola Citrus

The Motorola Citrus was announced in early October alongside the Droid Pro. Besides an apparent marketing attempt to begin naming phones after fruit, the Citrus is Motorola's offering for a low-cost Android smartphone.

Review: Motorola Citrus

The Motorola Citrus is an Android phone made with recycled plastics and Motorola's custom interface. Is this a phone you'll want to reuse? Or just recycle?

Take a gander at the Motorola Citrus, Verizon and Moto's plan for the aspirational, new-to-smartphones user. It has a small, almost cute form-factor that more than a few people have likened to ...
