Would not recommend Recertified Items

 

This certainly would have been a nice product HAD IT WORKED but as I made the mistake of buying a recertified/reconditioned item, it became faulty not long after purchasing it. Plus you only get 3 months of warranty on recertified items so I would...

Decent display - lots of features - WHEN working

Recertified product - screen went out after a month of receiving item. Olevia customer support wasn't the greatest. Had alot of difficulty just even getting them to give me an RMA on this item

EXCELLENT

 

Using it for both video editing and FPS online gaming. I also install high-end video and audio systems for a living. The Olevia 527V's quality is nowhere near that of a Sony Bravia series LCD, but it costs half as much. We installed 16 Olevia 32" LCDs...

Excellent for the price. Love it. Worked flawlessly out of the box. Decent remote, good menus. Picture settings are independent for each input. Tuner works fine, simultaneaous analog and digital tuning. Have not bothered to upgrade the firmware

Only one HDMI input. No Windows drivers available, which caused some gaming issues. However, PowerStrip 3.7 (free download) automatically created a driver for it, and now it ROCKS at 1360x768

From the pictures, I didn't like the speakers being on the side instead of the bottom (like on the 226T), but seeing it in person it's not that bad. I use a 2.1 computer speaker set up coming from the head-phone jack and it sounds great, so I can't...

This TV was given to me by Olevia to replace a DOA Olevia 226T 26" TV. Not only did I get one more inch of viewing space for free, I got double the contrast ratio (and it shows!). I've watched a few movies and played a lot of games so far and it looks...

As with the 226T, the 527V doesn't have an easy way to switch from input to input. There's one button on the remote that cycles through all of them and you just have to keep pressing it until you get to the desired input

Just OK

 

This was "restored" but seemed like a new one. NO problem but compared to my latest purchase (Sceptre), I wish I had not bought this one.

Good picture and tuner. Good price

As said many times, the remote is very slow as is start up. The OSD menu is overly complicated and not user friendly and gimmicky. NO EPG or freeze capability

Ok but not what it should be.

 

Should had saved and bought a Vizio.

Nice looking, plenty of outputs for what I need it for (bedroom). Other then that, not a bad lcd for the buck

This has prob been the worst tv I ever had to adjust the colors to look nice. The preset is horrible, once it's all corrected to your taste, it looks pretty good

Recertified means "not Neweggs problem"

 

I had to go back to Olevia, who verified the problem (tuner). Now they tell me I have to return ship it on my nickel. Doesn't seem fair: I'm out additional money and my Son did not get his Christmas.

Newegg reputation and customer sevice on a deal that looks too good to be true

It is too good to be true: if the TV has a problem, Newegg does not take any responsibiity at all

Recertified Olevia Black 27" good buy

 

this is probably the best buy for an HDTV.

TV looks great for the price. Takes about five seconds to turn on but for the quality it looks nice. I can't believe I found it for this cheap. I love newegg

when playing video games, you have to switch the aspect in order to see whats best for your game, but thats with any larger screened TV, but there honestly nothing bad about it, I just wish i knew about it earlier

Zero Customer Support

 

If the customer support is this bad, it doesn't matter how good the product is. LCDs break down a lot. There is a good chance you'll end up having to return yours.

Good "basic" buy

 

The Recertified unit is just as good as the new. Except $200 cheaper!!

Good basic unit for general home use. I have my xbox360(Hdmi)/PS3 and dvd player all hooked up. No problem with setup. Remote control menu 5min learning curve, but easy to operate. Sound quality good

Remote sluggish!! switching between formats. Replace with a good universal unit a must
