The latest Samsung LA46A650 is another fine all-rounder from Samsung, and it features striking design and an involving picture.

Good black levels and natural colours ; Clean, sharp pictures ; Sleek, unique Crystal Design styling ; Four 1080p/24-ready HDMIs ; USB port for JPEG/MP3 playback ; Versatile, backlit remote ; Abundant tweaking options

Stain magnet ; Backlight clouding ; Mediocre stereo imaging ; Sound distortion when bass is driven hard ; Unnatural 100Hz for some film-based materials

There's a fair mix of hits and misses for this AU$3849 46-incher. Taking everything into consideration, we felt the LA46A650 somehow lacked that unique X-factor — design can be very personal — and the cheaper 610 may offer a slightly better deal.

I really do not have an issue with this TV, probably the best LCD TV i have had. Brilliant picture quality, it seems like you are peeking through someones window when watching, as the quality of the picture is out of this world.

I bought this TV a week ago for $2787 in Sydney and is one of the best products I have ever purchased. The blacks are amazing, and the colours are superb. It's very easy on the eyes too

Nice TV. I got a 46 inch one. The Red is really nice and we were lucky that our cabinet matches already. The red is REALLY REALLY nice. Reasonable price and warranty too. Has "cloudiness" issues.

Can't fault the picture quality when there actually is a picture. I've tested it with TV, PS3 and upscaled DVDs through the PS3

A hand sized, "whitish spot" appears in the bottom left corner when it has been on for more than five minutes and is displaying all black. Somehow I don't think the "cloudiness" is a "batch" or a "one off" problem as this review has suggested. A bit...
