I have had this tv for over 6 years and it still works perfectly. It is very user friendly and the tv display quality is great. Very happy with this and would definitely buy a Samsung tv again. A good size for most rooms in the house, although nextime...

This is actually a review o the 42D7HD unit, which is the same series as the Q and the closest thing I cold find here. Bought the TV back in 2007 and about 2 years ago (after no more than 3.5 years), something strange started to happen. When it gets...

It worked fine for about 3.5 years

Breaks down; sounds like it is going to explode, gets very hot, dark colours and blacks have poor definition

Excellent

 

Overall, Very happy with the plasma, picture quality is extremely good. I actually did a deal and bought 3 of them for myself, family & a friend. None of them have had any problems with the plasma. Would definately buy a Samsung Plasma again.

Great Picture Quality, Good price, HDMI outlets.

The sound wasn't very good, but have amp/speakers now so I don't use the plasma's speakers. It has occasionally turned itself back on after an hour or so after you turn it off and come up with a grey screen for a minute or 2 them turns itself off...

Good

 

We've had our plasma for 20 months and we are very happy with the TV. The 42" is a good size for our family room and the quality of the picture is great.

Compared picture quality with other plasmas such as Panasonic and LG and liked the Samsung the best.

Can't really think of any dislikes except I sometimes wish it had a bass and treble control.

I would recommend buying the LG or Panasonic equivalent. steer clear of Samsung esp their customer service. Go back to your retailed in the first instance!!!! Although the panel looks good, the high pitched buzzing from the rear of the panel is enough...

after 2 hours of watching developed a loud buzzing noise from rear of panel. It has been getting "fixed" for 3 out of the 5 weeks we have owned the thing. Currently seeking a new unit as they can't give an ETA on when the parts needed will be...

Terrible

 

I had this TV for two months until it broke down. It took three months to repair. Customer service was abysmal. To date Samsung has not offered any form of compensation. Currently seeking a refund!

Nothing. TV functioned properly for a grand total of two months.
