Samsung UNEH6000 review

 

Since Samsung itself widely introduced edge-lit LED TVs in 2009 , the phrase "LED TV" has meant "thinner" to the majority of TV shoppers. This year Samsung and other TV makers are marketing LED TVs that are just as chunky as the non-LED-based LCD TVs...

The Samsung UNEH6000 series costs less than some other TVs that use LED backlights. Its color accuracy, video processing, and bright-room picture are very good, and it has better screen uniformity than many edge-lit LED models. I liked the thin frame...

Lighter black levels hamper the EH6000's picture quality compared with many TVs, including less expensive models. Its connectivity suite is anemic with just two HDMI inputs, and at this price numerous TVs offer apps and Smart TV functions that this...

Although it's cheaper than Samsung's ultrathin edge-lit models, the EH6000 series's value proposition is hurt by mediocre picture quality.

Good budget set without the frills

 

The UNxxEH6000 series from was never intended to compete with the big dogs, even within 's own lineup. This set is an edge-lit LED instead of full-array, has no smart TV features, and does not have 3D capability.

Great color accuracy, screen uniformity, bright room viewing

Off angle viewing very poor, black levels

an absolutely fantastic picture and sound!!!

 

I got the 50 inch version of this and I absolutely love it! Not only is the picture fantastic, the sound and the looks of it are great too! Everybody who sees my TV wants to know which one it is so they can go buy one. even asking me if it was a 4k TV!...

every person that has seen the picture on my TV absolutely loves it! I have received compliments by everybody and they continue to come in!

Highly Disappointed in Samsung

 

Bottom line is I'm highly disappointed in Samsung. I have a 32 inch lcd 60hz by Samsung that I've had for 3 years, & it has a so-so picture so I decided it was time to upgrade. Seeing that this is LED and 120hz, I just KNEW that this television was...

Couldn't find any.

The colors are washed out & there's absolutely no way to fix it. This tv has loads of settings in the menu, but the catch is that they really don't change the picture. It's almost as if they're there to fool you. The picture is also fuzzy.

I shopped price and got what I paid for! I almost returned it to Bestbuy.....but it's hung on my wall and too much trouble to repack...........or is it? I wish BB sold the Vizio 70"! I would do it for that and $200 more for a lot more TV!

Everything I Expected After Much Comparison Shopping!

 

I decided on this Samsung 40" (UN40EH6000) after a considerable amount of time checking out all competing models at local retail locations. For me personally there simply wasn't any other brand of LED that had a consistently great image quality at...

+ Very sharp details and no ghosting + Excellent Black levels + Vibrant colors + Sound is very good

Fantastic TV for the price.

 

I caught this on a Labor Day Sale. 55" version for $899. It was a steal. The image quality is fantastic, even in bright rooms. If you are one that likes to fiddle and fine tune your image settings, this TV has more adjustable settings than you can...

The image quality is the best I've seen in a TV this size. The motion control works well for 120 Hz (not so ultra-smooth that it looks unrealistic). Easily seen picture even in a bright (within reason) room. More image controls than I can count.

Sound is a bit lacking on the bass side. The stand seems to be a bit flimsy. Missing autoselect source feature (if it has it, I don't know about it) Could use more inputs (but you know about that before you buy).

you get what you pay for SAMSUNG= cheap cheap cheap buy a tv that works... either a Sony or a Toshiba... spend the exra money and you won't be sorry. i WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT... if you want cheap give it a shot.. but I would suggest checking...

panel blows after 2 months use??? samsung does not stand by their warranty.. I am handing this over to my lawyer as its been EIGHT MONTHS and still no resolution to fixing a tv which was essentially BRAND NEW. I

Best LED TV for the price

 

This TV set is exacly what i want. And a special thank to Danny Sullivan who help me to remove this stupid soap opera effect, and by the way if you dont need any of what they call SMART TV, like wifi or go on internet or 3D that's the smartest choice....
