good but not great

 

I'm pretty happy with this. The problems were taken care of quickly by the local Sharp support folks. It's not the best picture I've seen but is much better than my old analog Sony. The remote is very well designed.

set up was easy ; picture on both analog and digital ; large fonts for sub titles ; plenty of inputs and outputs

flakey power. Had to get local technician to do firmware upgrade on both processor and lcd. TV would turn on and off by itself and become non-responsive to any control ; volume seems low on some dvd movies

Good TV but OK Monitor

 

Good HD picture and very slick look...not bad price. I like the fact it has a CableCard slot

No DVI Out, poor PC resolution (1280x768), it would be nice if Sharp provided a driver to be used as a monitor. Fonts isn't smooth

As other have said the screen will die in and around the 13 - 16 month period. I have the exact same problem. Screen will just go black. Have to turn off, wait, turn back on again; sometimes this fixes the problems other times it does not. I do not...
