There’s much to like about the Sony Bravia KDL-40EX724, as it's a smart looking telly with good IPTV access and fine 2D picture quality. The integration of Twitter is also neatly done. However, its 3D performance is irredeemably poor. Sad really. ®

Internet TV a bonus - much better watching iPlayer on it than the laptop!

First ever flat screen TV, disappointed with picture, as not as clear as 'old' TV.

Very pleased with the use so far after 4 months. No issues but still not used all its capabilites but a very much enjoyed family TV. Easy to use by all members of the family from 8 plus.

Great Design. Over all picture quality is really good. Lots of picture options to dial in a good setting though some might see that as a bad point. Good 3D image. No cross talk when the footage is shot well.

Blacks aren't as deep as expected but good. The built in tuner isn't great when compared to sky but it is FREEview. A little slow when it comes to menus. It needs to think about things for a second or so, mainly when you have just powered on.
