I bought this TV as a present to myself late 2005 only to have it now fail with this blue cancer everyone else is experiencing. At $1000 a year it really doesn't live up to the claim that it would outlast the other TV's due to it's replaceable lamp. If...

Great if you only need a tv for a short time

Yeah!

When set was new, it was the bomb. Picture quality was nice.

Only after a couple of years of play time the picure got dull and by 2 and a half years I started seeing the blue dots. At first, I thought it was my eyesight that was going...Thanks a lot Sony

My TV is over four years old. It has gone past the blue haze phase which is starting to fail and be replaced by a yellow area in the centre of the screen. Is there a course of action I can take to seek some sort of compensation?
