Fairly easy to use

The TV was great for the First three years - No complaints.

After three years the screen started to get shadows on it and dark lines down the picture. Had a Sony engineer out to it and he said they have had lots of this model do this. It needs a new screen at £500 and Sony are not prepared to offer any...

Reliability

Slight difficulty combining remote control-functions with other Sony associated equipment ( i.e.Theatre Sound System & BluRay Player) ~ not FULLY "user-friendly".

Excellent colour and picture

Quality. Excellent with normal tv and also HD input.

The image quality is excellent and the image size is perfect for our living room. I love it.

Sometimes the software is slow to respond to the remote and I need to switch the TV off, and occassionally the TV won't switch on, but it passes in a few seconds and then continues to work perfectly.

all is fine apart from the bad point listing.

heavy dark shadows on the screen,in vertical and horizontal positions when tv is turned on.This happens every time.They then finish when tv has warmed up.This also happens sometimes when the tv has been on about 20 minutes

i have a sony 26" s. series about 2 years old which is outstanding, so when i wanted to upsize to 40" other makes just didnot compare to sony, the build quality is first class and oozes style.

you can't find a bad thing to say about this TV.....
