Fantastic Blu-ray pictures, especially where motion is concerned ; superb colours ; Freeview images

Uneven backlight in the corners of the picture

This TV excels in many areas but it's also plagued by an uneven backlight. Another five-star rating slips through Sony's fingers

. For 5 years I have had no problems with this tv. With the Sony Blue ray player the picture quality was excellent.

I found that the picture quality on freeview not very good but when used with the Humax fox T2 hd box the picture quality was very much improved.

Easy set up and good quality picture. Good range of exterior connections.

Cannot update it's firmware via connection to the internet, needs usb to complete. Cannot access the internet direct.

Brand Name: Sony a definite plus point. (this is the only way I can keep myself satisfied to spend so much for a product)

Very Expensive The TV Software update development is not very good. I have another Sony TV which was brought a year later and its software is so much better. Internet is great, This TV does have DLNA connectivity but is very very basic. Sound is not...

Generally very effective out of the box

finding your way round the technical settings and their impact e.g.sound attenuation in adverts not easy.......fantastic feature but do you know its there. Wants to be more effective on line

Lack of software updates to bring it in line with newer models.

Network and Internet capabilities are disappointing and almost useless. No automatic software updates over the Internet.- Not what I expected.
