beware the tilted picture

I've owned a KV-27S66 for about a year. It has a problem that I've heard described as a "slanted", "tilted", or "distorted" picture. It's not readily apparent on my set unless I'm watching a letterboxed movie, or a channel...

I bought this TV in a store while it was playing the same DVD that several other competitive TV brands were playing... all the TVs were pretty good, but only the Sony was consistently sharp in all colors, tones and lighting conditions of footage...
