Sony X900H 4K HDR TV review: Stunning value

Sony's X900 series TVs have long been revered for their premium quality and relatively approachable price points. The X900H is no exception.

Great black levels ; Impressive HDR highlights ; Extremely accurate color ; Clean picture ; Snappy Android TV response

Reflective screen ; VRR for games not yet available

Sony X900H/XH90 4K HDR TV review

Running from ‘quite large' to ‘absolutely huge', Sony's X900H/XH90 range is an accomplished watch no matter where your pictures are coming from.

Dynamic, convincing 4K HDR Impressive upscaling Full-bodied sound

No HDR10+ No HDMI 2.1 Brash Android interface

Vibrant picture performance, cracking upscaling and the promise of HDM1 2.1 makes the XH9005/X900H an all-rounder it’s impossible to ignore.

Sony XBR-55X900H Review

Plenty of features including Apple AirPlay and Google Cast ; Low input lag ; Attractive design

Expensive for the picture quality ; Modest contrast with weak black levels ; Oversaturated reds and undersaturated greens

Sony's X900H series offers an eye-catching design and plenty of features through Android TV, but it's on the pricey side for the picture quality it delivers.

This midpriced TV outdoes the TCL and Vizio with superior connections for next-gen consoles and over-the-air TV.

Sony XH90/X900H review: an excellent mid-range 4K TV

The Sony XH90/X900H is a 4K TV with fantastic HDR performance, but it's not as 'Ready for PS5' yet as Sony would like it to be

The Sony X900H, also sold as the X90CH at Costco, is a great 4k TV for nearly any type of content. It has a VA panel with an excellent contrast ratio and a full-...

Low input lag. Good local dimming. Fast response time. Excellent black uniformity. Receives VRR support after a firmware update. Excellent contrast ratio. Decent reflection handling. Great peak brightness.

No FreeSync support. Some stutter in lower frame rate content. Can't do 4k @ 120Hz and Dolby Vision at the same time. VRR and local dimming can't be enabled at the same time. Narrow viewing angles. VRR disables the local dimming feature.

The Sony X900H is a great TV for mixed usage. Its picture quality is great thanks to its excellent contrast ratio, high peak brightness, and wide color gamut. HDR content also looks good, with rich colors and highlights that pop for the most part....
