Test : SanDisk ReadyCache

Ready Cashe

I understand the principle, and with a fresh OS install would probably work better, but it will still hang up at some point and any small gain will be lost.

Ok for a small capacity ssd

Didn't notice much of a boost, after building the cashe it will occasionally drop and have to start over, it is now used in a hd enclosure as a large usb fob after wiping and reformatting

Gathering Dust.

Simple, was cheap for comparable sized ssd at time ; very light

Really did very little for performance ; Converting it to usable space was not worth it ; Currently expensive vs a full featured SSD ; Replaced this with a Chronos 60GB SSD for a real performance gain used as dedicated cache drive

Meeeh....

For a noticeable performance boost, I recommend sticking with an Intel motherboard that supports SSD cache with its chipset, or get a third party PCIe card that supports HyperDuo.

The drive itself seems fine, if you're looking for something with low capacity. But I'm not paying for just the drive

The ReadyCache software really feels useless. Maybe I don't see it because I already have a RAID-5 setup, but I was hoping for some performance boost. It's just cutting off a second or two on load times, if anything. Drivers load after boot, so there's...

great ssd

Got it free with Asus RT-N56U. What a deal???!!! I formatted it and use it as a Linux mint 17.1 (for now) main/boot drive in a media pc behind my Sony big screen. Perfecto!

Works great everyday since a year, as a ssd

Great solution

Excellent solution if you want to keep your big HDD. Not as fast as SSD alone but darn close. Bought one for my brother!

Cuts boot time (50 to 55 secs), very fast loading of games, apps. No glitches that I can detect

Not bad

Good buy if you want to give your mechanical hard drives a little pep without the hassle of setting up a caching hard drive manually.

Does its jobs well as a caching drive and installation of the hardware and software is a breeze

Wish the software was more customizable and able to allocate the cache to specific hard drives like ROMEX's Primo Cache software allows. You can use it with third party software but why not include it in this one
