Decent SSD

I agree that drive sizes are misleading, they should be required to list the usable space as the size of the drive.

Lightweight, fast, works in my Dell Studio 1737 laptop

Speeds are half of what is listed. I've completed all the tasks for optimizing SSD with Windows 7. It's still WAY faster than the original HD ; Might be the chipset in the laptop

Perfect

I would love to see a number of these in a RAID. Would buy again.

Does everything I ask it to. Compared it to other Sandforce controllers (I wasn't about to buy a SSD with a JMicron controller) and this seemed to have the best bang/buck ratio

Had to somewhat juryrig a mount in my case because it didn't come with an adaptor, but this was expected and it was not advertised that it did come with such an adaptor

Expensive but Good for VM's.

Heard other drive manufacturers having issues so I went with a proper array. Been lightly and heavily testing these things before I go for a full VM installation. It's likely the array will need to be canned, trimmed, and rebuilt every few months but...

2 disk NVRAID5 RAID0 Stripe, both the same exact drive out of a 5.25->4X2.5" drive bay. I use this for VM's and swapfile; Single HDD gives me in the vicinity of 40MBPS Random seek which bottlenecks me at 4 VM's. Depending on the benchmark I use I...

One of the drives is Ser# 000000000000000000001; the other is that many zero's then 48. That in of itself is scary ; Raid controller can't keep up; I have 2x1TB in RAID1 plus a 1TB plus a few optical drives plus one disk in EIDE; once I consolidate...

60gb instead 64gb

This is my first SSD and still have to understand exactly how it works. I'm not sure if I love it or not. Regrets? Yes, maybe was better to buy an OCZ 60GB.

Price?? If it was a 64GB ;-)

The problem is, at least for me, Zalman is selling it as a 64GB but the don't sey that 4GB are used for overprovisioning. From my BIOS the drive is recognize as a 60GB, and the formatted capacity 55.8 instead 59.5. That was misleading to me. AS SSD...

64GB? HMMMMMM.

ITS 2X FASTER THAN HDD. I THINK THOSE BENCHMARKS IS ....., CAUSE SPEED ON MINE COMPARE TO MY HDD ARE ALMOST THE SAME. BUT BOOTS AND TURNS OFF 2X FASTER THAN MY HDD WD 500GB 32MB.

INSTALLED WIN 7 IN 12 MIN, LOVE THE SPEED ON THIS DRIVE, BOOTS IN 12 TO 17 SEC, SHUTS OFF IN 4 SEC. SO FAR SO GOOD, WILL UPDATE IF ANITHING GO WRONG

64 GB? YEAH SOME PEOPLE GETTING 60GB AND NOT HAPPY, MY SYSTEM RECOGNIZE ONLY 55.9GB, NOT REALLY A CON 4 ME

Unexpected Surprises

When it arrived, it was in a small, bubble-type package that fit in my P.O. box. This surprised me, especially since the drive is so light. I could hardly believe it was a drive at all! To completely reboot my machine (from Windows, shutting down and...

Compared to other drives with a Sandforce controller, this was very inexepensive. The setup was also very simple. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit with the mainboard BIOS in ACHI. I was surprised by how fast the drive really is. I'm new to SSD...

The manual said it comes with some small screws to secure it to the case. There were no screws. The drive, as of this writing, is dangling in my case. This is not a real big deal though. The drive is so light that my cables support it just fine. (It's...

Awesome speed

I put this in my Lenovo W510. I did need to do some tweaking but it did make a big difference, particularly in boot time and time to usable (use tweaktown.com for help in tweaking). I have a lot of apps in startup and windows is fully usable in 10...

Took my Windows 7 disk rating from 5.9 to 7.4 Much faster boot time, time to when windows is usable

Wish it were a larger drive for the price

Not happy at all

Shipping was fast but I hope newegg will help me with this issue.

None

My computer recognize as a 60GB instead 64gb ; Installed Windows 7 64bit and does not start, it stops at the windows logo ; I'm trying to figure out what is wrong but I'm regreting the fact that I did not chose an OCZ SSD

A very good drive

Tips to buyers: Never expect drives to hit their theoretical performance limits. Use only Windows 7. Win XP and Vista are bad wit SSDs. Always tweak your windows to improve SSD performance and lifetime - google "ssd tweaker" Avoid using image rebuilds...

Boot time reduced 3 fold ; Apps launch instantaneously ; Sandforce controller is rock solid ; Price - compared to other similar drives

None so far
