Terrible Latch Design MDB8600AWS dishwasher (Maytag) -stay away from it

DON'T BUY THIS ONE!!!! I bought it in 2005...sad to say. I had the cheap plastic Latch break twice in 13 months! Fortunately I had the luck of seeing future problems and bought a 3 year warranty. They replaced the latch again today (8/11/07). The latch...

It has not broken down in terms of functionality of electronics and internal washer.

Do not buy

My old GE dishwasher had given up the ghost and it was noisy so we were looking for a quieter one. We bought it at Best Buy. The first one was DOA which should have been a forewarning. Maytag claimed they would not service it because of their deal ...

Quiet, adjustable, plenty of room, easy to operate.

Spray arms frequently clog. Stopped cleaning the upper rack and no one knows why.
