Asus ZenWatch 2 review

Asus has topped its previous ZenWatch with a much better one

The Asus ZenWatch 2 isn't nearly the best smartwatch out there. But, with a comfy fit, an affordable price tag and (albeit limited) iPhone compatibility, it's far better than what was expected.

Asus ZenWatch 2 review: Here's one smartwatch that puts substance firmly ahead of style - Tech2

We review the Asus ZenWatch 2 smartwatch which runs on Android Wear platform

The ZenWatch 2’s looks belie the quality of this smartwatch that seems to exemplify the phrase ‘substance over style’. It may not be the greatest-looking wearable on the market, but if it’s a low-profile high-performance smartwatch you’re after, look...

Asus ZenWatch 2 review: Suave without the spending plan - Pocket-lint

All in all, the ZenWatch 2 is a great starter smartwatch. Who knows, maybe by this time next year there will be 100 other great-looking smartwatches that

Mostly stainless steel body, plenty of case and strap choices, fast charging, two size options, great value

Plastic back plate, no heart-rate monitoring or GPS, same display as predecessor, thick bezel, stiff leather strap

Asus has kept down the cost of the ZenWatch 2 by smartly cutting some corners compared to its predecessor, such as foregoing an all-metal design in favour of a plastic back plate and omitting sensors like GPS and a heart-rate monitor.

Asus ZenWatch 2

The ZenWatch 2 is Asus' second attempt at putting Android Wear on your wrist. 2014's ZenWatch was an attractive entry in the expanding smartwatch market, with its refined design and low price. But it was let down by the lack of a physical button and a...

Superb design and build quality ; Improved Android Wear implementation ; Affordable price

Lack of heart-rate monitor ; Limited iPhone compatibility

Asus ZenWatch 2 review

The ZenWatch 2 is a decent purchase, but there are a lot of Android watches with slicker style and more power.

Is the ZenWatch 2 a success or failure? It does offer refinements over last year’s model in the areas of battery and customization — specifically size, color, and wristband. The ZenWatch 2 is a good watch, in fact, and perhaps even a great one,...

ASUS ZenWatch 2 Review

The ASUS ZenWatch 2 presents a new wave of Android Wear watch. While it still runs the same software as the rest of the Android Wear smartwatches out today, it begins to differentiate itself. Not just with a slightly different shape (as ASUS presented...

The big difference between this ZenWatch 2 and the rest of the Android Wear world is price. While you’re going to be paying $299 for the least expensive version of the Moto 360 (2015), the ZenWatch 2 starts at $129. ZenWatch 2 (WI501Q) with a band made...

Asus ZenWatch 2 review

The Asus ZenWatch 2 is a great-looking smartwatch with good battery life, but its feature set is outranked by several fitness trackers

It's also a useful way of minimising the number of dirty fingerprints the ZenWatch 2 picks up, as I found its reflective 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 panel often got quite smeary after only a few minutes use. That aside its 1.63in 320x320 display...

Asus ZenWatch 2 Review

Asus ZenWatch 2 Hands-On Review at IFA 2015: Asus just presented us with the ZenWatch 2 at IFA 2015. We've wasted no time trying this new smart timepiece.

Improved Aesthetics ; Highly customisable design ; Solid battery life ; Affordable

Annoying charging cradle ; Screen could be better ; Leather straps feel cheap ; Occasional lag

With the ZenWatch 2 Asus looks to be the company at the forefront of making Android Wear and smartwatches as a whole, more attainable for all. The broad customisation options it’s prepared to offer consumers, premium design and impeccably low price...

Asus debuts affordable and stylish ZenWatch 2, arrives in Europe in October

We have seen an influx of premium smartwatches this summer from Apple, LG and Huawei, among others, but Asus believes a nice smartwatch doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. The company's new ZenWatch 2 is both stylish and affordable. Asus on...

The larger of the two models has a 400mAh battery (compared to 300mAh on the smaller model), which is said to get up to two days of use on a single charge. It's unclear how long the battery on the smaller model lasts, although I suspect it would last...

Asus ZenWatch 2 Review

Asus is back for round two with the ZenWatch 2, one of the few that favors a square shaped design, as opposed to the round face styles that have become preferred by a number of makers. What really sets it apart from the crop is that it's sporting a...

Over half the cost of other smartwatches at $129.99 ; More choices than before: size, color & bands ; ZenWatch Manager App is a great companion app

Lacks a heart rate sensor ; Doesn’t have quite the same premium feel as other watches ; Tough to see the screen under sunlight

Asus doesn’t take any drastic measures to steer away from what they’ve done with their first Android Wear smartwatch. Yes, it’s mainly the same exact thing from before, but now it’s offering a better degree of options – though, it’s nothing like the...
